Turlough Guerin

TURLOUGH GUERIN

Chief Executive Officer

Turlough is governance and science-trained and has held senior sustainability and stakeholder interface roles in technology, energy, and resources companies. His focus has been in service delivery on major infrastructure projects in the clean energy, communications technology and construction sectors having worked for Shell, Telstra, and First Solar.

Turlough has also held Board roles in for-purpose and community organisations including with the Ag Institute of Australia, community radio, as well as community energy generation.

Jodie Lovell

JODIE LOVELL

Program Manager – NSW Landcare Enabling Program

Jodie works alongside our Government Partners Local Land Services (LLS) to co-manage, co-design and co-deliver the NSW Landcare Program. Her role also works closely with the Joint Management Committee (comprising key Landcare and LLS staff) to steer the project direction and ensure that it is achieving its desired outcomes.

Jodie has extensive experience working with not-for-profits in the natural resource managment and public health sectors. Jodie holds a Bachelor of Business and Commerce, majoring in Communications and Finance.

Olivia Meredith

OLIVIA MEREDITH

Shared Services Hub Manager – NSW Landcare Enabling Program

Olivia is responsible for the delivery of the Shared Services Hub, providing support to Landcare Coordinators and groups across critical organisational elements such as administration, human resources, and accounting. She has extensive experience and knowledge as a Senior Business Manager and Director across television, print and online mediums including holding the position of Head of Design for SBS Television, owning her own Design and Branding Consultancy with clients such as Art Gallery of NSW, Sydney Living Museums, Channel Seven, Channel Nine, ABC and running Marketing and Communications Departments across NSW Health and local government.

Olivia’s passion is agriculture and she has a farm where she breeds Scottish Highland Cows, Alpacas and sheep. She is currently studying a Degree in Agriculture majoring in Sustainability and Animal Production and also Cert 4 in Wool Classing.

DEN BARBER

Aboriginal Partnerships Manager – NSW Landcare Enabling Program

Den Barber is the Aboriginal Partnerships Manager for the NSW Landcare Program. His role is to deliver the ‘Working Together’ component which focuses on building relationships, awareness, capacity and understanding of Indigenous sustainable land management practices, and integration of Indigenous values into Landcare principles and teachings. His work will support further connection and partnerships between Landcare groups and Aboriginal communities, co-designed and led by First Nations people.

Den has held senior positions working for NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and Local Land Services over 18 years which involved direct engagement with Aboriginal communities through liaison, consultation and project management. Den has a passion for Aboriginal Culture, Country and Community development and has worked with a diverse range of people and interest groups about Aboriginal cultural practices and knowledge sharing experiences.

Susie Dunn

SUSIE DUNN

ADMINISTRATION OFFICER – NSW Landcare Enabling Program

Susie is employed as General Administration Officer within the NSW Enabling Program, based on Ngurabul land in Northern NSW.

Susie has lived and worked in rural and remote locations in WA, the Northern Territory and QLD. She settled in Northern NSW to raise her family and worked in the community services sector of Glen Innes Severn Council for 15 years. Following this, Susie was employed by NSW Meals on Wheels as a Network Consultant for 7 years and more recently as the Consumer Engagement Coordinator for Older Person’s Advocacy Network (OPAN). Susie has worked in both direct service and leadership roles for the past 22 years and her qualifications include a Diploma Social Science (Child Studies), Graduate Certificate Gerontology, Master of Gerontology and Bachelor Business Agricultural Economics (12 units). 

Susie is passionate about community and has had a lifelong interest in the environment, organic agriculture and sustainable land management. Susie lives with her husband on a small property outside of Glen Innes. She has two adult children and is happiest when surrounded by family, with her hands in the dirt, and a few animals around her.

State Community of Practice Manager – NSW Landcare Enabling Program

The role as the State Community of Practice Manager plays a critical role in the Program, and is responsible for the delivery of the biennial State Landcare Conference and Program State Gathering.  Also works closely with regions to deliver Regional Community of Practice events ensuring the development in capacity, capability and resources of Landcare Networks and Groups in NSW. The coordinator is a conduit between Regional Landcare Groups and Landcare NSW.

Marni Holden Headshot

MARNI HOLDEN

Manager Communications & Governance

Marni’s role is to provide oversight to organisational Communications and coordinate governance for the Chair, CEO, Board, and senior staff to assist them in delivering internal operational and governance requirements.

She has several years as a Communications Program Manager and has specific training in IAP2 – Stakeholder Engagement Design, certificate in Neuro Linguistic programming (NLP); Coaching certification.

Marni grew up in Far North QLD on a self sustained property, but now prefers cooler climates like Snowy Mountains and New Zealand. She is very passionate about our environment, resource preservation and animal protection.

KELLY PASMALIDIS

Communications Officer

Kelly joined the Landcare NSW team in April 2023 and provides communication and graphic design support for the organisation. She assists in managing the marketing, communication and design activities for Landcare NSW and its various programs.

A dedicated creative professional with over 20 years experience, Kelly’s career began after a degree in Environmental Science and a job with the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. A career change from Ranger to Graphic Designer saw Kelly work for organisations such as the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the NSW Department of Lands and the NSW Department of Education, before launching her creative studio in 2007.

Passionate about working in the not-for-profit sector, Kelly applies her creativity to promote social and environmental causes. She is currently studying a Master of Design, focusing on creative thinking and design economies for social enterprises.

Kelly is a keen printmaker, photographer and sculptor. Influenced by her childhood growing up in the Snowy Mountains, her works are inspired by the natural environment.

Jasmin Rea

JASMIN REA

Accountant

Jasmin holds a Master Degree in commerce majoring in professional accounting with CPA. Her role is to support the finance team in Landcare NSW and provide accurate quantitative information on financial position while ensuring compliant with all tax regulations. She is responsible for managing all accounting transactions, handling monthly, quarterly and annual closings, and ensures the quality and accuracy of the finance records.

Katie Caldwell

Project Manager

Katie’s role as Project Manager is to deliver multiple projects that increase partnerships and build on the achievements of Landcare across NSW. She come to Landcare NSW after previously working as a Local Landcare Coordinator for the Murrumbidgee Inc and before that as a Project Officer for Holbrook Landcare where she assisted in developing the Murray/Riverina Ecological Fire Recovery Strategy.

She aims to utilise her experience of delivering Landcare led projects at the ground level to help guide her in her project management role at Landcare NSW.

Peter Dixon

PETER DIXON

Advisor Partnerships and Major Grants

Peter works part time for Landcare NSW, around his volunteer and other work. His role is to work on developing and improving working relationships and collaborations with government organisations and to help ensure the Landcare NSW and Landcarers can not only access grant funds but that grant funded projects are delivered well.

He has 35 years experience in ecological management, bush regeneration, community engagement, education and training, catchment management, program design and grant program management.

Peter previously led the NSW Environmental Trust, the NSW Floodplain Management Grants Program and the NSW Coastal and Estuary Grants Program. As the major external funder to community, NGO and local council environmental management programs in NSW, he gained a detailed understanding of the needs and constraints of grantees and was instrumental in developing programs to meet the needs of applicants and the environment.

He also previously led the Sydney Metropolitan Catchment Management Authority and worked extensively in the Sydney region as a Landcare/Bushcare facilitator and a bush regenerator. In his voluntary capacity, Peter is a Landcarer on the Mid North Coast on NSW and is currently President of the Australian Association of Bush Regenerators.

Suzanne Pritchard

SUZANNE PRITCHARD

Program Manager, Private Land Conservation Matters

Suzanne Pritchard serves as the Project Manager for the Private Land Conservation Matters program with the Biodiversity Conservation Trust, aiming to synergize landholders with conservation covenants and the Landcare community, thus enhancing biodiversity and amplifying the significance of landholder agreements.

A dedicated conservationist and lifelong landcarer, Suzanne’s legacy includes managing the 6-year “$250,000 Threatened Species Last Stand on the Coal Point Peninsula” project with the Coal Point Progress Association.

Her tenure with Trees In Newcastle (TIN) epitomized versatility. From securing funding for on-ground projects to devising TIN’s communication blueprint.

Her association with the Australian Association of Bush Regenerators (AABR) further elevated her commitment to conservation.

At Lake Macquarie City Council, her contributions laid the foundations for Lake Macquarie Landcare, streamlined processes, enhanced educational outreach, and fostered community events, reinforcing Landcare community ties.

In 2021, she ventured into fieldwork as a Casual bush regenerator with BARRC. Her academic pursuits encompass leadership courses, digital strategy training and degrees in Biology and Communications.

Suzanne Pritchard’s career paints a vivid picture of her dedication to land care, conservation, and an unwavering focus on community engagement.
