Seeking General Administration Officer

Employment Type: Fixed Term-Part Time (35 hours per week) until June 30, 2027, with an option for renewal subject to funding.

Responsible to: NSW Landcare Enabling Program Manager
Context
Landcare NSW is the peak body of community-led conservation and natural resource management in NSW. With up to 3000 Landcare Groups and 60,000 volunteers, Landcare NSW is the conduit between local Landcare communities and funders and decision-makers, supporting local Landcare communities by providing resources and representation.
The General Administration Officer role is funded under the NSW Landcare Program, a $59 million NSW Government-funded program to be delivered over the next four years 2023 – 2027.
The ultimate purpose of the Program is to “equitably deliver support and resources that empowers Landcare volunteers, leading to the achievement of landscape, community and industry goals”.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to Landcare NSW for the Landcare Enabling Program including assisting with managing payroll and communications with coordinators, hosts and Local Land Services
- Assist with evaluation of the Landcare Enabling Program and ensures deliverables of the funding deed including financial reporting, MERI milestones and staff reporting are submitted on time.
- Work with Landcare Enabling Program team to support regional planning, events and activities.
Previous Experience
- Proven experience in a NFP organisation, with experience in administration, financial reporting, operations, and human resources.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
- Be a self-starter and able to work alone as well as part of a geographically dispersed team
- Stakeholder engagement experience with the ability to navigate and understand the viewpoints of volunteers, hosts, committees, funding bodies and Government departments.
- Experience working with Landcare and/ or similar grassroots community-led movements would also be highly regarded.
Education
Qualifications/experience in general administration and/or business management.
