The Canal Reserve Action Group (CRAG) was first formed in 1994 to spearhead the community campaign to have the Lower Prospect Canal Reserve created. CRAG has now taken on the role of guardian of the reserve.

A coastal village of about 100 houses, it is located approximately 100km north of Sydney on the Wallarah Peninsula, which lies between Lake Macquarie and the Pacific Ocean.

The Central West Catchment Management Authority is one of thirteen organisations that were established in late 2004 as part of major natural resource management reforms in NSW. Catchment Management Authorities are statutory authorities that report to the Minister for Climate Change, Environment and Water Resources. CMAs are funded by the NSW Government, with additional support from the Australian Government. CMAs have responsibility for devolving operational, investment and decision-making natural resource functions to catchment level.

The Coastal Environment Centre (CEC) is a multi-award winning regional community environmental learning centre, and Pittwater Council's environmental flagship.

The CEC is committed to excellence in environmental education, and engaging our community in the transition towards a sustainable future. The Centre has a focus on local biodiversity and ecosystems, coastal management, sustainability and climate change. Our role is to enhance community skills, knowledge and engagement in caring for our urban coastal environment.

CoastKeepers involves the community in regular activities which explore and safeguard the NSW coast.

Coffs Harbour Regional Landcare Inc (CHRL)  is an umbrella group for approximately 50 land-caring sites, groups and associations, comprising of dune, river, estuary, bush, coast and land 'care' groups in the Coffs Harbour area.

The Community Environment Network was formed in 1997 as an over arching body to support individuals and groups in Lake Macquarie, Wyong and Gosford who are working for the environment.

The Cooks River Foreshores Working Group is a voluntary association of local councils and state government agencies who have been working together since 1998 to improve the health and amenity of the Cooks River, its foreshores and catchment environment.
