Australian Association of Bush Regenerators

Tumbi Wetland Bushcare is working on a Wyong Shire Council reserve and is aiming to preserve local flora. Weed management makes up a large part of this.especially at the margins of the reserve. As the area includes a major storm water outlet we also aim to improve the catchment for part of Tumbi Creek. With respect to this latter aim it has the support of the Hunter-Central Rivers Catchment Management Authority (CMA).

Significantly, many members are already engaged in food production, and are eager to promote energy efficient and sustainable practices. This ensures that we have a sound economy and appropriate lifestyle in the future.

It is between the coast and the Great Dividing Range, and so has a combination of geographic and cultural features which has made it a centre of food production, water catchment, water distribution and human occupation over many hundreds of years. Local Provenance Plants are those that have naturally evolved to suit the climatic, light and soil conditions of an area.
The Rozelle Bay Community Native Nursery collects seeds and cuttings from the closest remaining bushland, to propagate and reintroduce Local Provenance Plants to the area. The reintroduction of Local Provenance Plants has been extremely sucessful. As you walk around Annandale's public spaces, you will notice a diverse range of plants thriving and providing habitat to butterflies, dragonflies, birds, lizards and frogs.

The Central West Catchment Management Authority is one of thirteen organisations that were established in late 2004 as part of major natural resource management reforms in NSW. Catchment Management Authorities are statutory authorities that report to the Minister for Climate Change, Environment and Water Resources.
