Community Action Grants

Eligible community groups can apply for grants from $5,000 to $20,000 (GST exclusive) to take action to help protect and conserve Australia’s environment.
Eligible community groups include:
- community groups involved in coastal rehabilitation, restoration and conservation
- groups of farmers or land managers working on sustainable farming or improving natural resource management
- Indigenous partnerships involved in protecting or improving the environment
- community groups involved in biodiversity conservation, environmental protection or managing natural resources
FarmReady Industry Grants
Round 2 of the FarmReady Industry Grants is now open.
FarmReady Industry Grants provide funding for eligible groups to undertake projects that help their members adapt to climate change.
Volunteer grants

Volunteer Grants 2009 provides funding for eligible non-profit organisations to support their volunteers and encourage volunteering by:
- purchasing practical and tangible small equipment items to help volunteers; and/or
- contributing towards the reimbursement of volunteers’ fuel costs incurred when carrying out their volunteering work, including those who use their cars to transport others to activities, deliver food and assist people in need.
