Shaping Australia’s Resilience: Policy development for uncertain futures
FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT

A national conference on Resilience - the first of its kind to be held in Australia, will take place at the Australian National University, Canberra on 18-19 February 2010.
Responding to the major challenges facing us today will require that governments, companies, and communities have access to new policy tools–ones that build resilience into natural and social systems.
The theme of this Australia21 conference is applying Resilience Thinking in policy and practice.
The conference and workshops will include new developments in resilience science, and case studies from disaster management, health, economics, infrastructure planning, communities, biosecurity, water, among others.
