Rainforest Rescue - Orangutan Adventure Treks
Rainforest Rescue and Inspired Adventures are looking for twenty people that are willing to go on an adventure that can help protect the forests, save the orangutan and change the world. They are organising a fundraising trek through the jungles of Sumatra. Participants will visit the orangutan rehabilitation program in Gunung Leuser National Park, trek through the stunning rainforests of Indonesia and contribute toward the protection of this vital ecosystem. The duration of the trek proper is four days on a moderate grade track. The entire trip will last from 5 to 15 March 2010. Potential participants will need to raise $6000 funds which will cover travel and accommodation costs outlined by the itinerary, with the remainder being used by Rainforest Rescue to help reafforest and protect the orangutan's habitat. Participants will also need to pay an additional $700 registration fee as well as extra costs for items not covered by the itinerary.
